Egg Roll in Kolkata is one of the famous street foods. People enjoys this for their evening snack. If you ever been to Kolkata, there is no way you can escape the city's iconic love with street food.
Egg based Roti wrapped with veggies, sauces will never fail to
satisfy your appetite. There lot of different rolls that are available in
Kolkata streets. This is very easy to make in your kitchen so let’s try "
Kolkata Style Egg Roll"

What
we Need:
- Egg- 3 Nos.
- Maida Flour-3
Cup
- Green
Chilli-3 pcs
- Tomato
Chopped- 1 medium size
- Coriander
leaves- Chopped a few
- Onion-1 medium
Size
- Cucumber-1/2 One
- Clear
Oil-3 Tbs (1/2TBS for dough+ Roti and Egg fry)
- Green Chilli
Sause
- Tomato Sause
- Black Salt-1/4Tbs
- Black
Paper- 1/4TBS
- Lemon Juice-1TBS
- Peanuts-handful of
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Take Maida flour in a mixing bowl add some salt (based on your taste) then add water to make a smooth dough.
- Add 1/4 Tbs clear oil on the dough from all sides and keep it in rest for some time.
- Wash and cut the vegetables into long slices. Take a small bowl and mix the vegetables with lemon juice, black salt, plain salt and black pepper and keep aside.
- Fry Peanuts in clear oil and keep aside.
- Then knead the dough again for 1 minute or so and divide it in 3 equal size ball.
- Then Rolls the balls with roti roller and keep it aside. Take roti tawa and fry the rotis till half cooked condition. You can complete same for all rotis.
- Beat 1 egg in small bowl whip it by adding some salt to it. Then Pour the egg on frying pan, spread it with spatula.
- Then after few seconds place the half-cooked roti on it, add some oil and wait for 1/2 minute. Wait till bottom side getting golden brown, flip the other side and complete.
- Prepare the remaining rotis in the same way and place them on the plate.
- You can take one tissue paper and fold them by halfway and place one roti on it.
- Then add 1/2 TBS Tomato catchup, Green chilli sauce, Peanuts and mix vegetables like a layer.
- Roll it in a way that it should not open up. You also use toothpick stick while warping. Enjoy delicious Kolkata style Egg Roll.
